Mrs. W.R. Massey, 80, died at the home of a son, Charles E. Massey, Covington, Friday after a illness of two weeks. She had been in ill health for the past few years. Born August 4, 1867, Mrs. Massey was the daughter of Frank and Frances Webb Vaughan. Her husband died August 29, 1937. Surviving besides the son are another son, John Massey of Danville, Illinois, a brother, Uriel Vaughan of Cates, three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Tuey of Bloomingdale, Mrs. Pearl Messick of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Stella Cruant of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Christian church, Covington, with Rev. O.J. Thomas, of Danville, Illinois, officiating, assisted by Rev. Hugh McConnell, pastor of the church.
