MASSEY, Dorothy Blacketer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Dorothy M. Massey, 80, formerly of Veedersburg died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Covington Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Massey retired from R>M. C. at Attica in 1982. She had lived in Fountain County since 1949. She was born April 1, 1916 to David W. and Minnie N. Barcus Blacketer at Needmore, Ind. She married Dallas F. Massey Dec 12, 1935 at Cates, Ind. He preceded her in death Jan 31, 1966. Survivors include a son, Norman of Las Vegas; a daughter, Brenda C. Patridge of New Hampshire; one half-brother, Dewey Burns of Oxford, Ala; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dickerson Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Retter officiating. Burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Covington Manor Nursing Home 1600 E. Liberty St, Covington.
