COVINGTON --- Services for Charles E. Massey, 81, a resident of Covington since 1912, who died at 4:15 a.m. Friday (May 28, 1971) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Masonic services will be held Saturday night. An attorney, real estate broker and insurance agent in Covington for many years, he was the son of William R. and Mary Vaughn Massey. He married Ina I. McDaniel on Oct. 9, 1911. She survives. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM 60, a 50-year member of the Knights of Pythias 36, a charter member of the Lions Club and a member of the Fountain County Bar Association and the Covington United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters. - jlr
