MASON, James S. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

James S. Mason of Attica, age 75, died Monday morning, May 4, in Meadow Heights Nursing Center at Williamsport. He was born in Terre Haute, October 25, 1905, the son of Ed and Eva Pattengale Mason. December 25, 1929, he married Dorothy Beever, who survives. Mason was Logan Township trustee for eight years and was a past governor of Attica Moose Lodge. A retired meat cutter, he had worked at the Former Economy and Grady’s grocery stores in Attica.  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Karen Lucas of RR 2, Williamsport, Mrs. Rita Green of Indianapolis and Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Lafayette; three sons, Ed of Attica, Russell of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Jerry of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday) at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Melvin Nead officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
