Fowler—Clarence “Keck” Martindale, 92, East Fourth Street, Fowler, died at 3:40 a.m. Monday, May 22, 1989 at his residence. He had been in failing health six years.
  He was born Sept. 2, 1896 in Pine Village. He was married Oct. 19, 1917 in Covington to Clela Fry, who preceded him in death in 1966.
  He graduated from Pine Village High School in 1917 and was a player on the professional football team from Pine Village.
  He was a life resident of Benton County and farmed most of his life.
  He was a member of Boswell Church of Christ, Boswell Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite.
  Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Clifton, Oxford; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
  Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hahn Funeral Home Chapel, Oxford, with the Rev. Gene Polf officiating. Burial was in Boswell Cemetery. – thanks to S
