Lloyd Virgil Martin of Danville, Illinois, age 61, died Friday evening, October 23, in Mercy Hospital at Urbana, Illinois. He was born in Alvin, Illinois, May 24, 1920, the son of Earl and Lilly Brown Martin. January 1, 1941, he married Nellie Ruth Talbert, who survives. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired nursing assistant at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Danville, Illinois, and previously worked for the Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad.

  Also surviving are four sons, Donald Edward of Danville, Illinois, Lloyd Jr. of Oakwood, Illinois, Robert Dale of Clinton and David Wayne of Cayuga; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Eickhoff and Mrs. Dorothy Rennaker, both of RR 2, Covington; a brother, Donald Earl of Danville, Illinois; and nine grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Lakeside Funeral Chapel in Danville with Phillip Rogers officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – thanks to S
