Lester Martin, 32, owner of Martin's Auto Services in Veedersburg died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10, in the Fishero
ambulance en route to an Indianapolis hospital.
Dr. Samuel Millis, Montgomery County Coroner and Ar Cruea Jr., Fountain County deputy sheriff, investigated. Cruea
attributed death to a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Mr. Martin was born October 28, 1932 in Veedersburg. He was the son of Dewey and Laveta Martin. He was married on January 7, 1952, to Hilda Hess, who survives. He, was a veteran of service in the Navy.
Other survivors include a daughter, Donna and two sons, Duane and Lester Jr., all at home; his parents; two brothers, Warren
of California and James in the service in England; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles Wagner d Indianapolis, Mrs. Albert Grimes
of Darlington, Mrs. Keith Lester, of Green Hill and Mrs. Raymond Pearson of Attica.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the Fishero Funeral Home, with Rev. James Dyson officiating. Burial was in Cold Springs Cemetery.
