Karnea Martin, 63, a farmer residing west 9of Covington died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Martin was born May 29, 1881 in Fountain County son of Wilson and Mary Allen Abernathy Martin. Surviving are the widow, Verna; four daughters: Mrs. Bernice Tallman of Kingman; Mrs. Marie Gouty of Covington; Mrs. Edith Ohl of Perrysville and Mrs. Mary Ellen Watson of Greenfield; five sons: Orville of Covington Rt 2; Basil of Frankfort; Henry Wilson, Richard and Robert at home; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs.Alice VanLear of Kenton, Okla; Mrs. Effie Keller of Covington and Mrs. Rollin Henson of Detroit; four brothers, Charles of Perrysville; George of Covington Rt 1; James of Blackwell, Okla; Mrs. Effie Keller of Covington Rt 1; James of Blackwell, Okla and Sam of Danville. (sic). Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Benson Chapel Church, west of Covington – kbz
