Mrs. Helen Stanton Martin of RR 1, Covington, age 73, died Sunday morning, January 25, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Fulton Township, Fountain County, November 12, 1904, the daughter of Fred L. and Della O. Phebus Stanton. June 23, 1931, she married Edward Rhodes Martin, who survives.   Mrs. Martin was a retired teacher, teaching five years at Gessie and Perrysville and 25 years at Covington. A graduate of Perrysville High School and Indiana State University, she attended Vincennes University.   She was a member of Covington Tri Kappa, Woman’s Club, Classroom Teachers Association, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary, and the National Education Association. Other survivors include two sons, Dr. Fred S. and Dr. Edward J., both of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Goodin of Kingman; three grandchildren and two step grandchildren.   Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Clark DeVore and Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
