VEEDERSBURG -- Miss Helen E. Martin, 81, of Rt. 3, Veedersburg, died Thursday morning in Home Hospital at Lafayette after undergoing surgery there Wednesday. She had been a housekeeper and had worked in the former Farmer's Market at Danville, Ill. She was a graduate of Newtown High School. Born Jan. 13, 1894, at Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of Henry and Edith Butcher Martin. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with burial in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday. --typed by Walt W
