Freeman R. Martin of Tempe, Arizona, age 78, died Sunday, May 22, in the Veterans Hospital at Tucson. He was born in Fountain County, October 11, 1904, the son of Elmer and Madelena Berto Martin. April 8, 1945, he married Marie F. Glover, who survives. Martin was a member of Montgomery County Masonic Lodge, Athens Chapter OES, American Legion Post 72 and VFW Post 1451. He graduated from Perrysville High School, served with the Army during World War II and worked at R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company until retiring in 1969.

  Also surviving is a brother, Clayton of Covington.

  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks so much to S

Tucson, Ariz -  Freeman R. Martin, 78 of Tempe, Ariz died Sunday in the Veterans Hospital at Tuscon.  He retired from RR Donnelly & Sons Co in 1969.  He was an Army veteran serving during WWII.  He was a member of the Montgomery County Lodge No 50 F&AM, Athens Chapter 97 Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Post 72 and VFW 1431.  He was graduated from Perrysville HS.  Born Oct 11, 1904 in Fountain County, he was the son of Elmer and Madelena Berto Martin.  He was married on April 8, 1945 to Marie F. Glover. SHe survives.

Surviving with the widow is a brother, Clayton Martin of Covington.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to services. - kbz
