Charles Martin, 64, Covington resident until two years ago died Feb 2 at an Indianapolis hospital. He had been in failing health for the past two years.  Born in Covington Jan 1, 1884, he was the son of Jerome and
Martha King Martin.  He married Bessie Smith of Crawfordsville and following her death married Eva Lamb 23 years ago who survives. He had spent the past two years at the home of a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edgar
Verner of Lafayette.   Survivors include the widow, Eva; a son, Robert Martin of Lafayette; a daughter Mrs. Marie Jarred of Covington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edgar Varner of Lafayette; a step son Harold Lamb of
Indianapolis and a sister, Mrs. Anna Fulton of Covington. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Crumley & Son Funeral chapel with Rev. EE McConnell officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope

Covington—Charles C. Martin, formerly of Covington, now of Lafayette, passed away at an Indianapolis hospital Monday morning at 1:00. He was born January 1, 1884 in Covington, the son of Jerome and Martha King Martin.
  Survivors are the widow; one son, Robert Martin, of Lafayette; one daughter, Marie Jarred, of Covington; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Edgar Varner of Lafayette; one stepson, Harold Lamb, of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Anna Fulton of Covington; and ten grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Crumley and Sons Chapel with the Rev. E. E. McConnell officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – thanks to S&E
