CAYUGA, Ind. (CNS) - Miss Cassie L. Martin, 71, of Cayuga, died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, (Feb. 22, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been a patient three days. She had resided with her sister, Mrs. Leonne M. Clark, in Cayuga for many years. Born Aug. 14, 1900, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Hughes Martin. Miss Martin was employed for 25 years at Cook Hospital in Chicago. She enjoyed sports and played basketball during high school and later for the Taylor Trucks in Chicago, one-time national champions. A graduate of Perrysville High, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star 150 of Cayuga and Delta Theta Tau sorority. Survivors include her sister. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. EST Thursday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman, with the Rev. Larry McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery north of Gessie. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Eastern Star memorial services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. - jlr
