Billy H. Martin of Danville, Illinois, age 60, died Friday morning, May 20, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville. He was born at Covington, December 29, 1922, the son of Amos and Elizabeth Burnison Martin. April 7, 1945, he married Anna DeLorenzo, who survives. Martin was head meat cutter in Kroger grocery stores in Rockville, Covington and Danville for 35 years. He was a graduate of Covington High School and served four years in the Army during World War II.
Also surviving are a daughter, Marie Neal of Tilton, Illinois; a son, Monte of Elgin, Illinois; three sisters, Mayme Sisk of Williamsport, Bettie Albrecht of San Francisco, California, and Loleta Schumaker of RR 3, Covington; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
