VEEDERSBURG — Ramon E. "Bud” Marsh, 77, a resident of Veedersburg, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Danville, Ill. He was born June 8, 1922 in Veedersburg, the son of Elmer and Esta Gookins Marsh. He married Geneva L. Harrison Aug. 30, 1941 in Hannibal, Mo. She preceded in death in 1987. He was a lifetime resident of the Veedersburg area. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. He had been a farmer, truck driver and most recently a carpenter. He was a 50-year member of the Veedersburg American Legion Post #288. Survivors include: a daughter, Dee (Stephen) Knutti, Veedersburg; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. Graveside military services were by the American Legion. – jlr
