ELMER MARSH, 81, a retired farmer and life resident of Veedersburg was found dead at 1:00 p.m. Monday in his home. The body was found by his daughter-in—law, Mrs. Geneva Marsh, when she went to the home for a daily visit. He lived alone. Fountain County Coroner Ralph Nelson investigated and found that death was caused by a heart condition. Born Aug 30, 1877 in Fountain County he was a son of Ben and Nancy Harlow Marsh. He was married to Esta Kookins who preceded him in death Sept 1, 1951. He was a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Raymond and a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Allen both of Veedersburg; a brother Tom of Tampa, Florida and a half sister, Mrs. Daisy Graham of Detroit. He was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Veedersburg Methodist Church with Rev. Hubert Neth officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. The Fishero Funeral Home was in charge. – kbz
