ATTICA — Thelma L. (Bly) Marr, 86, 1005 E. Main St., Attica, died at 5:17 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. She was born Aug. 6, 1914 in Attica, the daughter of Walter and Malinda (Heater) Bly. She married Thomas A. Marr Sept. 12, 1943 in Attica. He preceded in death Dec. 28, 1987. She was a graduate of Attica High School and a life resident of Attica. She was a homemaker and had worked as a sales clerk for the Moe Nathan Clothing Store in Attica for several years. She was a member of the Attica Assembly of God Church, the Rambling Wheels and the Fountain-Warren County Senior Citizens group. Survivors include: a son, Thomas Robert (Belle M.) Marr, Attica; a daughter, Linda (Dennis) Sprouls, Lafayette; two grandchildren, Harry Acheson and Christopher Sprouls; and three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Machell and Jeremy Acheson. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Frodge, Betty Robson and Emma Ruth Miller. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Harvey Lange officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church, Attica. – jlr
