Mrs. Gwendyth Marquess, 80 of 311 Wayne Avenue died this morning in Culver Hospital after an extended illness. She was a member of the Tangier Friends Church. She was born near Tangier Nov 25, 1917, a daughter of Harvey E. and Goldie Ratcliff Swaim. She married Carl Marquess on Nov 27, 1948 at Stuttgart, Ark. Surviving are her husband; two brothers, Harold Swaim of Rockville and Charles Swaim of Rt 2, Kingman and sister, Mrs. Gretchen Norton of Rt 2, Kingman. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rick Funeral Home at Marshall with Rev. Ruth Isaacs officiating. Burial will be in Rush Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday. -- kbz
