MARLATT, Maxine Cronk - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica - Maxine Cronk Marlatt, 94, 2768 E 700 N, Wingate died Thursday Jan 30, 2003 in St. Vincent Hospital, Williamsport. She had been a resident of Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica since May 2001. Born Jan 5, 1909, in Fountain County, the daughter of william A. and Margaret Parker Cronk. She married Encil Newman Marlatt Nov 6, 1929. They lived their entire married life in rural Newtown. he preceded her in death May 24, 2002. She was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro HS in 1927. She was a member of Newtown Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and led singing, member of Home Economics Club, Music Club and Bridge Club of the Newtown community. Survivors include a son Doan N (Marilyn) Marlatt, Wingate; daughter, Jane Rice, Newtown; sister, Naoma Fishero, Hillsboro 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maus Funeal Home, Attica with Mike Parks oficiating. Burial in Newtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newtown Community Church.
