Clarence Marks, 74, of West Point, who had operated the pony ride concession at Lafayette's Columbia Park the past eight summers, was dead on arrival at Home Hospital at 12:15 p.m Thursday after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was rushed to the hospital in the West Point community ambulance. Born near Odell and a life-time resident of the West Point area, he was owner of the Marks Garage, Auto and Implement Co.here for 32 years, before retiring in 1946. He also was widely known for the raising and selling of ponies. He attended West Point schools, was a member of the Methodist church here, a 50 year member of Shawnee Lodge No 129 of F & A M; a member of the Wingate Chapter of Eastern Star; and a member of the West Point Lions club. In 1915, at Omaha, Neb., he married Anna M. Koeth, who survives. Besided the widow, he is survived by a son, Everett Marks, West Point.
