Thos. Maris died at his home in Marshall Wednesday morning about 2 o’clock of paralysis. He suffered two very severe strokes of paralysis and never spoke after the first, although he was conscious up to the last. He leaves a loving wife and four children besides other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. He was about 53 years of age and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. Deceased is a brother to our townsman John B. Maris. Funeral services were held in Marshall and interment was made in the cemetery at that place yesterday. – S
