Kingman-Frank MARIS, 88, retired farmer, stock buyer and businessman, died at noon Sunday at Community Hospital at Williamsport where he had been a patient one month. Mr. Maris was former owner of groceries and meat markets at Kingman, Veedersburg and Cayuga. He also was former owner of the Kingman Telephone Company. Mr. Maris was a member of the Kingman Methodist Church and for 50 years a member of its official board. A Parke County native, he was born Nov. 14, 1879, a son of John and Mary (Swaim) Maris. Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a son, Dr. Lee Maris of Attica, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodrow Funeral Home with burial following in Harveysburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday. The family requests donations be made to Community Hospital's building fun in lieu of flowers.
