Anton Manzagol, age 78, a farmer of the Kingman area since 1930 and father of Mrs. Marceline (Thomas) McGurk,
Covington Rt. 2, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient since Feb. 25.
Mr. Manzagol was born March 3, 1888 in France, the son of Jean and Francoise Roube Manzagol.  He was married to Augusta Plumart Aug. 31, 1912.
He was a former electrical engineer but had farmed in the Kingman area for many years. He was a member of Yeddo Masonic Lodge No 636, F&AM, and the Moose Lodge No. 1001 at Danville, Ill.
Survivors include: the widow; one son, Sherman of Livonia, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. McGurk of Covington Rt. 2; four brothers, Jules and Victor of Dearborn, Mich., Marcel of Highland Park, Mich., and Alfred of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Clarine Wadley of Dearborn, Mich.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington.  The Rev. John DeKruyter officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.  Masonic rites were conducted at the funeral home Monday evening.
