MANWARING, Floyd

Source: Kingman Star Friday, March 29, 1907

On Friday morning at eleven o’clock March 22nd the death angel entered the home of William Manwaring and bore away the spirit of his little son, Floyd, to the father who gave it.   If Floyd had lived till August he would have been eight years old, but our heavenly father willed otherwise and took him home to dwell with the angels and his mother who died when he was but 14 months old, leaving him to the tender care of his only sister who has been a mother to him indeed, sacrificing her own girl pleasures that she might care for her little brother and make a home for her father and older brother as well.  All that loving care and medical aid could do was done for him but to no avail.  That dread disease Typhoid fever with its many complications had done its work.  The end came and though not unexpected the parting was just as hard.   May their sorrowing hearts be comforted with the thought that with Floyd all is well.  His sufferings which were intense are over never to return. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Manuel Sunday morning. Burial at Harvey cemetery. Tis sad that on earth the best friends must part. The latest farewell must be given, but how comforting it is to the sorrowing heart, we will never be parted in heaven. - S
