ATTICA - Mrs. Mable Manssen, age 50, of Attica, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, (1967) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. She was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Attica, the daughter of John and Pearl Stewart Meredith. She was married Sept. 28, 1946 in Attica to Irving Manssen, who survives. She was a life resident of Attica, a graduate of Attica High School in 1935, and had been employed as a cashier for the Attica Telephone Co. for several years She was a member of the Attica First Methodist Church and its choir and was a past treasurer of Attica Chapter 125, OES. Surviving in addition to the husband, are: one daughter, Judy Troxel; her parents, one brother, James, and one grandchild, all of Attica. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Donald Ashley officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. - jlr

Attica -- Final rites for Mable Manssen, 50, who died Saturday [Oct. 21, 1967], 7 p.m. at Community Hospital, were 2 p.m. Tuesday [Oct. 24, 1967] at DeSutter Chapel. Rev. Donald Ashley officiated. Eastern Star memorial services were held at the chapel Monday, 7 p.m. Those who served as pallbearers were Russell Blickenstaff, George Miller, Charles Williams, Herbert King, Tom Gossett and Clarence Short.
