Dollie Lorene Manning of Danville, Illinois, age 80, died Sunday morning, August 1, at the home of a daughter, Marian Cooprider of Westville, Illinois. She was born in Catlin, Illinois, July 28, 1902, the daughter of John Buckelew and Laura Yonkin. July 18, 1917, she married Anderson Manning, who died February 24, 1982. She was a member of Rock Church of Danville and had been employed as a housemother at the Danville Children’s Home for 10 years. She sponsored a Veteran’s Administration foster home prior to retiring five years ago.

  Survivors include four other daughters, Mary Cherven of Joliet, Illinois, Willa Larimer of Unionville, Missouri, Inez Madden of Sweet Home, Oregon, and Dorothy Rollins of Westville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home at Cayuga with Rev. Paul Stern and Rev. Wendell Adams officiating. Burial was in Silver Island Cemetery at Kingman. – thanks to S
