MANN, Sarah Jane Drake - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Sarah Jane Mann, 87, of Kingman, died at the home of her step son Ward Mann, one quarter mile west of Kingman at 4:05 p.m. Thursday April 5, 1956. Mrs. Mann was born in Parke County Jan 5 1869, daughter of David and Ruth Robbin Drake. She was married to Asa Mann and he preceded her in death May 17 1941. She was a member of Harveysburg Church. Surviving are a son Edgar Ephlin of Kingman; four step sons, Russell Mann of Danville, Ill., Paul Mann of Veedersburg, Robert and Ward Mann, both of Kingman; three stepdaughters, Nola Mann and Mrs. Pauline Masters, both of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Grace Leonard of Champaign, Ill.; two brothers James Drake of Veedersburg and Trella Drake of Kingman rural route; a sister, Mrs. Nell Grismore of Kingman; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Services were held at 1:30 p.mn. Sunday at the Kingman EUB Church with the Rev. Howard Pearson officiating. Burial was in Harveysburg Cemetery with Woodrow Funeral Home in charge.
