The funeral of Acie Mann was held at the UB Church Tuesday afternoon. The scripture, prayer and obituary were given by Rev Ruth Eastberg and the sermon was given by Rev MC Lashbrook of Saline City. The music was furnished by Mrs. Miles Lindley; Mrs AL Ratcliff; Morris Erickson and William Sowers with Mrs. Orval Lindley was pianist. The pallbearers were his four sons, Paul, Robert, Ward and Russell, his brothers, George Mann and Edgar Ephlin. The many flowers were carried by nieces & other relatives. Interment was in Fraternal Cemetery with GW Spencer in charge.

Acie Mann, highly respected citizen of the Kingman vicinity, died Saturday night, May 17 1941, at the Lake View hospital, Danville, where he had been a patient for a few hours. He was ill three days previous. Mr. Mann was 65 years of age and had resided in the south part of the county for many years, where he was widely known and valued as a citizen of high character. The son of Adophus and Margaret Whitt Mann, he was born in Hendricks county, Indiana, July 12 1874. He located in this county when a young man. He was married to Bertha Drake of Kingman in 1898, who died in 1915. Following her death he was married to Janie Drake, a sister of the deceased. She is a survival with seven children, Russell, Nola, Pauline and Grace, Danville, Ill., Paul Mann near Veedersburg, Robert Mann, Cayuga, Ward Mann Kingman; one brother George Mann, Indianapolis; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Boyd, Terre Haute, Mrs. Dora Lawson, West Lebanon and Mrs. Phoebe Cronkhite, Dana, Ind. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Kingman United Brethren church, with Rev. Lashbrook officiating. Burial was at the Harveysburg cemetery.
