MANGANELLO, Eugene - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Eugene Manganello of Georgetown, Illinois, age 62, died Sunday morning, May 17, in Carle Foundation Hospital at Urbana, Illinois. He was born in West Pittston, Pennsylvania, March 16, 1919,the son of Charles and Nellie Siccia Manganello. In 1942, he married Marjorie Sherman, who survives. An active member of Georgetown First United Church, he served 21 years with the Air Force and had retired from Hyster Company in Danville after 16 years. He was a member of the American Legion.

  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donna Jean Dowers and Mrs. Ellen Raney of Georgetown and Mrs. Mary Piatt of Kingman; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Rostock of Exeter, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mary Filipouski of Pittston, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Clara Players of West Pittston, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Theodore of San Antonio, Texas, John of Phillipsburg, New jersey, and Charles of Dallas, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at First United Methodist Church in Georgetown with Rev. Joel Catlin officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery at Georgetown. Houghton Funeral Home in Georgetown was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
