MANASCO, William - WWII - Navy

Veedersburg, Ind.—Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Parham Funeral Home for William C. “Bill” Manasco, 69, of Veedersburg Route 3. He died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 1977 at the Danville, Ill., Veterans Administration Hospital.
  The Rev. Tom Howell officiated. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
  Mr. Manasco was a retired coal miner. During World War II, he served in the Navy.
  He was a member of the Community Bible Baptist Church.
  Born June 7, 1908 in Townley, Ala., he was a son of James and Rosie Mae Bonner Manasco. In November 1925 in Walker County, Ala., he married Louise Mullen, who survives.
  Other survivors include two sons, Bruce of Riverton, Wyo., and Leon of Columbus, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Elizabeth) Lee of Veedersburg Route 3, and Mrs. Sam (Ola Mae) McCutchan of Veedersburg Route 4; a brother, James G. of Riverton; two sisters, Mrs. Horace (Nellie) Russell of Tangier and Mrs. Clarence (Anna Lou) Jean of Veedersburg; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
  A son and a brother preceded him in death. - s
