Mrs. Rosa Manasco, 80, a Jasper, Alabama resident, died in a hospital there Thursday, April 23, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident en route home from Sterling where she had attended the funeral of her son-in-Jaw, Walter S. Banks, age 49.
The Rev. and Mrs. James Manasco were within two miles of their home when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel and their auto crashed over an embankment.  Mrs. Manasco died of internal injuries and a brain concussion.  The Rev. Mr. Manasco, a Baptist minister, sustained a fractured right leg and internal injuries, and has developed pneumonia.  His condition is critical.
Services were held Saturday for Mrs. Manasco at Jasper.  Those attending from Veedersburg were her daughters, Mrs. Nellie Banks and Mrs. Clifford (Anna) Jean and Mr. Jean; a son, James Manasco, Mrs. Manasco, and their son, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Manasco and. children; Clarence Manasco, another son, of Danville, also attended.
