MALTSBERGER, Robert T. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG — Robert T. Maltsberger, 50, Rt. 2, Veedersburg, died at 11:20 p.m. Friday at St Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been hospitalized for eight days prior to his death and had been in poor health for the past two years. Mr. Maltsberger had been a farmer in the Veedersburg area his entire life. He was a member of Cooper's Chapel Church south of Covington where he had taught an adult Sunday school class for several years. He was a member of the Fountain County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Fountain County 4-H Council. Born Sept. 25, 1913, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, Mr. Maltsberger was the son of Virgil Ernest and Zula Frankeberger Maltsberger. On Jan. 7, 1937, he married Jennie Reynolds. The widow survives. Other survivors are the mother and a son, Merlin, at home. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Rev. Thomas Stapp assisted by Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Mt.
