Hillsboro June 2 – Mrs. Lily Delphi Maltsberger age 78 resident of Fountain County many years died Tuesday at the Lakeview Hospital in Danville, Ill where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. Her death, relatives said occurred on her mother’s birthday anniversary. She was born at Delphi May 15, 1865 the daughter of John William and Cynthia Ann Zimmerman Little and in 1889 was married to William D. Maltsberger who died in 1940. Mrs. Maltsberger spent the greater part of her life in Fountain County near Covington. For the past two years she had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. George Sentman of Hillsboro. She was a member of the Christian Church at Muncie, Ill. Surviving are one son, Virgil Maltsberger of Hillsboro; a grandson, Robert Maltsberger of near Veedersburg and a brother, Frank Little of Oklahoma City, Okla. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death. The funeral will be held from the Crumley & Son’s Funeral Home in Covington at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon in charge of Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg. Burial will be made in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.

Mrs. Maltsberger spent most of her life in Covington and had lived with
Mr. and Mrs. George Sentman in Hillsboro since the death of her husband in
1940. Born May 15, 1863 at Delphi, Ind
she was the daughter of John William and Cynthia Zimmerman Little. In 1899 she was married to William
Maltzberger. Surviving are a son, Virgil
E. residing south of Hillsboro; a grandson, Robert of near Veedersburg and a
brother, Frank Little of Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a member of the Muncie,
Ill Christian Church. Funeral services
will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Covington with Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg
officiating. Burial was in the Masonic
