Jacob A. Maltsberger, 83, 609 Lafayette Ave., died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the home of Harold W. Clark, where he had lived the past to years. He was born Aug. 31, 1881, to George W. and Livina Isabelle Fruits Maltsberger. He lived his entire life in Montgomery County. He worked in Waynetown several years as a farm hand and with Lewis & Shephard in Crawfordsville. He attended school at Sugar Grove, Ridge Farm and Alamo High School. He is survived by a brother, Clarence Maltsberger of Ladoga, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. John Servies will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
