Attica – M. Sgt. William D. Mahoney, 61 son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Mahoney of Attica died in the Veterans hospital near his Asheville, NC home at 1 pm. Sunday. Mr. Mahoney, who had been in the armed forces 30 years had been ill for several years. He is survived by the widow, his parents, four brothers, Anthony and Jack of Attica, Dan of Greencastle and Dick of Hammond and two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Hershberger of Attica and Mrs. Jack Short of Battle Ground. Dick, Anthony and Jack Mahoney and Mrs. Hershberger and Mrs. Short attended the funeral Wednesday – kbz
