MAHAN, Amos

Amos Mahan of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 83, died Wednesday, August 24, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He was born near Prospect, July 20, 1900, the son of Andrew and Rena Flick Mahan. In October of 1930, he married Mildred Georgia Bishop, who survives. A graduate of West Baden High School and Indiana University, he taught and coached at Crown Point, Mellott and several other schools. He was a member of Attica Christian Church and Crown Point Masonic Lodge.
Also surviving are a son, Dr. John E. Mahan of Fort Collins, Colorado; a brother, Ernest of Pittsburgh, Kansas; and a grandson.
The body was taken from Maus Funeral Home in Attica to the Attica Christian Church for services Friday afternoon with Rev. James Boudouris officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery near Veedersburg.
