Lloyd Madden, 84-year-old retired Parke County farmer, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at his home in Rockville. The only son of Miles M. and Rebecca Commons Madden, he was born Jan. 19, 1882, on a farm three miles south of Kingman. He was married Dec. 24, 1900 to Ethel Atcheson, who preceded him in death March 15, 1935. He was a member of the Christian Church and lived in Kingman since his retirement in 1946. Survivors include: four daughters, Miss Helen Madden of Kingman, Mrs. Rowena Lee of Wickliffe, Ky., Mrs. Frederick Luther of Indianapolis and Mrs. Martha Mohr of Palisades Park, Calif., and two grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Mary Williamson, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman. Rev. Larry McMullin officiated. Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery near Sylvania. --typed by Walt W
