Kingman—Helen Rebecca Madden, 81, Kingman, died in her home Wednesday, March 29, 1989.
She was born March 23, 1908 in Parke County, the daughter of Loyd and Ethel Atkinson Madden.
She was a 1928 graduate of Tangier High School. She was involved in many organizations including Kingman Christian Church, The Young-at-Heart Club, Chariot Rebekah Lodge 157, Veedersburg Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Never Grow Old Birthday Club, Fountain County Historical Society, Kingman Hilltoppers Senior Citizens and Rush Creek Missionary Society.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Frederic (Dorothy) Luther, Route 1, Waveland, and Mrs. Richard (Martha Jean) Mohr, Pacific Palisades, Calif.; a niece and a nephew.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman, with the Rev. Jim Lane officiating, assisted by the Rev. Harold Miller. Burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery, south of Kingman. – thanks to S
