MADDEN, Conrad - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Conrad Madden, 21, son of Mayor Claude P. Madden, of Danville, Ill., died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mabel Madden, 1108 North Gilbert street, Danville, Ill., at 9:45 o'clock Saturday night. he had been confined to his bed for almost two years. The young man was born in Danville May 16, 1911. He attended Danville grade schools and started to the high school, but was taken ill in December of his freshman year and was unable to continue his studies. Besides his mother and father, one sister, Margaret, 18, survives. Another sister, Virginia, died 10 years ago at the age of 4. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Madden, of Cates, and a number of other relatives. Funeral services were held at the home of his mother at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery at Covington.
