MELLOTT, Ind. (CNS) — Cecil J. Macy, 82, formerly of Mellott, died Saturday morning (June 24, 1972) at Clay County Hospital in Brazil. He had been a patient there four weeks. Born Oct. 1, 1889, in St. Joseph, Ill., he was a son of William Ezra and Julia Agnes Bantz Macy. He married Ethel Marie Beard Dec. 15, 1918, in Homer, Ill. She died June 20, 1955. Mr. Macy had been a farmer in the Mellott and Wingate areas. Survivors include four nephews, Walter Macy of Ogden, Ill., Earl Macy of Homer, Russell Macy of Fithian, Ill. and Harold Bantz of Wingate. Others preceding him in death were a son, a sister, three brothers and two half-brothers. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Pape Memorial Home in Danville, Ill., with the Rev. Joe Martin officiating. Burial will be at GAR Cemetery in Homer. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. --typed by Walt W

MELLOTT – Funeral services were conducted Monday at Pape Memorial Funeral Home in Danville, Ill., for Cecil J. Macy, 82, former resident and farmer of Mellott. Born Oct. 1, 1889, in St. Joseph, Ill., he was a son of William Ezra and Julia Agnes Bantz Macy. He was married to Ethel Marie Beard on Dec. 15, 1918, at Homer, Ill. Survivors include three nephews and cousins, including Harold Bantz of near Mellott. – jlr
