Covington – Mrs. Jessie MacGregor, age 78, a well-known California painter died Friday Sept 26 in a Carmel, California hospital after a two-month illness. Mrs. MacGregory moved to Covington from Cincinnati as a child.  After the death of her mother, she was reared by an aunt, Mrs. John Duncan. She was a member of the Episcopal Church at Carmel, the Carmel Country Club and the California Painters Guild.  She was born at Cincinnati Nov 14, 1890, the daughter of Clarence and Sophia Weber Harrison.  Her first marriage was in 1908 to Alva Hill.  In 1922, she married DD MacGregor who died in 1950. Surviving are one daughter,  Mrs. Kenneth Crabbe of Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Darter of Lantana, Fla and two cousins, Mrs. Isabella Moore of Covington and Mrs. Fred Coleman of Newtown. Funeral services and interment were in Carmel on Monday.
