VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- -- Luke E. Furr, 79, a life resident of Fountain County, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday (July 21, 1968) at his home near Newtown. Born March 25, 1889, in Fountain County, he was the son of Marshall and Nancy Wilson Furr. He was married Jan 25, 1910, to Georgia Fleming, who survives. A retired carpenter, he had been employed at National Homes in Lafayette. He was a member of the Christian Church. Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Katherine Keller of Lafayette, Mrs. Claudine Weber of Veedersburg, Miss Betty Furr of New Castle, Mrs. Margaret Keller of Perrysville, Mrs. Juanita Craft of Veedersburg and Mrs. Florence Epperson of Auburndale, Fla.; six sons, Everett of Rockville, Donald of Newtown, Kenneth of Omar, Fla., William of Waynetown, Leroy of Lafayette and Eugene of Veedersburg; 46 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Church in Attica. The Rev. Harry Randolph will officiate. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. The body is at the Sever Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. - kbz
