Veedersburg – Mrs. Irma Mae Furr, age 54 of Crawfordsville Rt 7 and a former resident of Veedersburg died at 6 a.m. Wednesday Feb 28 in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill where she had been admitted the night before. Mrs. Furr was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville, the Royal Neighbors and Pythian Sisters. She was born in Mitchell, Ind, March 13, 1913 the daughter of John and Florence Strange Smith. She was married Aug 16, 1935 to Cash Furr in Veedersburg and he survives. Mr. Furr is her only survivor. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sever Mortuary in Veedersburg. The Rev. Ivan Steed officiated and burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. – kbz
