Newtown – Mrs. Georgia Furr, 92, a resident of Newtown since 1957 died at 4:40 a.m. today in the home of a daughter, Mrs John (Claudine) Weber at Rt 4, Veedersburg. She had been ill since October.  Born near Fort Wayne, she was reared in Indiana Soldiers Home at Knightstown. She had lived in the Fountain County area since her marriage to Luke Furr. He died in 1968.  Mrs. Furr was a member of Attica Christian Church, Ladies American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Citizens Club. Surviving with the daughter, Mrs. Weber are three other daughters, Mrs. Catherine Keller of Lafayette; Mrs. Margaret Keller of Mellott and Mrs. Florence Epperson of Auburndale, Fla and six sons: Everett Furr of Kingman; Eugene Furr of Middletown, Ohio; Donald Furr of Newtown; LeRoy Furr of Clarks Hill; William Furr of Waynetown and Kenneth Furr of Brooksville, Fla. - kbz

Georgia Furr of Newtown, age 92, died Thursday morning, June 23, in the home of a daughter, Claudine Weber of RR 4, Veedersburg. She was born near Fort Wayne, October 10, 1890, the daughter of Theodore and Catherine Nash Flemming. She was raised in the Indiana Soldiers Home at Knightstown. January 25, 1910, she married Luke Furr, who died July 21, 1968. Mrs. Furr was a member of the Attica Christina Church, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and Senior Citizens Club.
  Also surviving are three other daughters, Catherine Keller of Lafayette, Margaret Keller of Mellott and Florence Epperson of Auburndale, Florida; six sons, Everett of Kingman, Eugene of Middleton, Ohio; Donald of Newtown, LeRoy of Clarks Hill, William of Waynetown and Kenneth of Brooksville, Florida; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Newtown Cemetery. – thanks so much to S
