Veedersburg – Mrs. Edith L. Furr, age 56 of Indianapolis, a former resident of the Veedersburg area, died at 2 p.m. Thursday July 25 at General Hospital in Indianapolis where she had ben hospitalized the day before. Mrs. Furr was the daughter of the late Edward and Bessie Price Martin. She was married to Myrel Furr, who survives. Surviving in addition to the husband are three sons, Harold and Earl, both of New Whiteland and Robert of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Pearl at home; two brothers, John Martin of Indianapolis and Raymond Martin of Cartersburg; and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Hayman of Newtown. She was preceded in death by a son and two sisters. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary UB Church in Indianapolis. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, southeast of Veedersburg. The Robert Sterling Funeral Home of Indianapolis was in charge of arrangements. – kbz
