FURR, Albert (Bert) - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro April 19 - Austin Livingood (sic) of Hillsboro received a message Thursday telling of the sudden death of his nephew Bert Furr, 65 who died at McCordsville east of Indianapolis Wednesday night following a stroke of paralysis. He was employed at a Farmers CoOp elevator, having moved there about a year ago after spending several years at New Richmond. He had been engaged in the elevator business about 40 years. His wife and daughter Miss Miriam Furr the latter a talented musician were in NY City at the time of his death. After his mother died he was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelin (sic - Keeling) Livengood (sic) of near Hillsboro. He is survived by the widow, the daughter and a half-sister. He also leaves two uncles, Levi and Austin Livengood of this vicinity. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday at the McCary Mortuary at Fortville and burial will be at Fortville.
