Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Jesse Funk, who died on Wednesday Sept 8 at her home in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Mrs. Funk resided in Davis township until a few years ago when the family moved to Colorado. Last spring Mr. Funk brought his wife to Lafayette where she remained in the hospital several weeks for treatment. The doctors pronounced her case incurable and in June Mr. and Mrs. Funk returned to their home in the west. Her death was due to cancer of the stomach. - kbz
