FUNK, Elsie Edwards - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Pearl Funk, age 63,  of Independence, Attica Rt 3 who died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday March 28 in the Rudisill Nursing Home, Covington, ,were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Independence EUB Church. The Rev. Eldon Brown officiated. Burial, with the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport in charge was in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Funk, who had been ill for the past eight months, was born Jul 12, 1883, in Tippecanoe County, the daughter of John and Manda Davidson Edwards.   She had resided most of her life in Warren County. She was married in Williamsport in Feb of 1900 to Charles E. Funk, who preceded her in death in 1953. She was a member of the Independence Evangelical Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Wallace of Independence; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters. – kbz
