Attica—Belva C. Funk, 86, formerly of 204 N. Perry St., Attica died at 12:10 p.m. Friday, March 3, 1989 in Lafayette Healthcare Center. She had been a patient there two years.
She was born Feb. 22, 1903 near West Point, the daughter of Albert and Anna E. Shultz Snider. She was a native of Tippecanoe County and lived in West Point for a time and attended school there. She was married Oct. 19, 1921 in Covington to Edward Funk, who preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1976. They farmed in the West Point area for many years. She lived at rural Attica before moving to Attica in 1976.
She was a member of Riverside United Brethren Church.
Surviving are a brother, Alva Snider, Route 2, Attica, and five sisters, Mrs. Hazel Prather, Lafayette, and Mrs. Ethel Jaynes, Mrs. Grace Fox, Mrs. Louise Williams and Mrs. Orpha Bogle, all of Attica. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Clarence, and a sister, Mamie Marks.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, with Dr. Earl D. Owen officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – thanks to S
