FRYE, Lewis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Lewis H. Frye of RR 1, Hillsboro, age 78, died Saturday night, December 25, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born in Spencer, Michigan, July 5, 1904, the son of Thomas D. and Esther Naulton Frye. July 14, 1928, he married Mabel Houser, who survives. Frye was a retired painter and had lived in the Hillsboro community for 33 years.

  Also surviving are a daughter, June Uteg of Pasadena, California; two sons, Thomas M. Frye of Crawfordsville and John V. Meadows of Veedersburg; two sisters, Olive P. Morrison and Elva Shannon, both of Whittier, California; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

  Private funeral services were held Tuesday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. -s
